Hello everybody,
Last week on Saturday the eviction ban that had been put in place by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) expired. What this means is that people who are behind on their rent because they are not able to work because of COVID can get kicked out of their homes. Then about a week later the CDC issued a new eviction ban that would last until October 3 throughout most of the US. The new ban could help keep millions of people in their homes while COVID-19 is getting worse with the new variant called Delta. In my opinion this should be a thing that’s already in place because for one people are going to pass around COVID and for two some people don’t feel safe going back to work and won’t get paid and as a result can’t pay their rent. Also restaurant and store workers and others are working in places that are having their business cut so as a result the people are having their pay cut. So it doesn’t make sense that President Biden and the Supreme Court are even arguing about it.
